Championship players
Harry Wilson, Todd Cantwell, John Fleck, Jack Grealish, John Mcginn, Tammy Abraham, Reece James and Mason Mount.

They all had very good seasons in the Championship last year and dont seem to have found the jump up to the Prem that difficult. All now established Premiership players. Would all probably walk into our 11 at the moment.

Still some very good young British talent in the division below. Alot of talk about Bowen at Hull but he has already said he wants to stay where he is.

Diangana is also looking very good this season. Hopefully will be able to continue that with us next year.

Some others that should be seriously looked at:

Jude Bellingham at Birmingham. Midfielder and only 16 years old. Could not believe it when I watched them on the box the other week and they said his age. He looks one for the future.

Jayden Bogle. 19 year old Right back for Derby. AC Milan apparently interested.

Eberichi Eze. 21 year old Attacking Midfielder for QPR. Their best player.

Karlan Grant. Striker. Huddersfield bought him last year whilst they were still in the prem. Only 22. Scored a few goals in a terrible Huddersfield side when no one else was scoring. Now doing well and scoring regularly in the Championship.

These players wont come cheap but surely must be a safer bet than some of the foreign overpaid imports we seem to end up with? Atleast the potential is there.

Unfortunately I doubt MP or his coaching team have ever watched a championship game.

Nathan Ferguson, West Brom right back out of contract in the summer.

That would surely appeal to the Daves.

Re: Championship players
Bowen is the man but I'll have to enjoy him tearing it up in the Prem for some other team when I have known he would be top drawer for the best part of two seasons.

That always happens as a WH fan. Let others take the punt and buy an over the hill has-been injury prone donkey on obscene wages who contributes fuck all nothing

Seen us linked with Butland a few times, seems a bit odd as Fabianski is back for the next game hopefully and Butland would still cost 10-15M id imagine.

Re: Championship players
Lets not get carried away with Sheff Utd's success, it's typical first season back in the Prem.

They will come down with the christmas decorations, when injuries start to hit they will become what they are, average.

Its laughable that we have Sanchez and wilshere on the books.. Very us though.
Wilshere is a quality baller.. But the sympathy I have for him kinda disappears when I think what's he's earning..

Nah..

Re: Championship players
We offered £4m for John Fleck I read and when Sheff Utd wanted a bit more we ran away.
And signed players like Wilshere and Sanchez on bigger wages who don’t or can’t play.

You need to scout them before they get on lists on Sky Sports and the price doubles.
A few on that list are ones that Chelsea particularly have got in earlier and then loaned to Championship clubs so not really applicable.

Re: Championship players
I think the risk with championship players is that they are expensive and if they don’t cut the step up then championship clubs can’t afford to buy them back. They are not proven in other leagues and have no reputation outside of England.

When you buy the foreign players from top leagues there always seems to be a Turkish or Chinese club that will be interested if they fail in England. Foreign players travel better than English players.

I agree though. Careful scouting in the championship or maybe even better value in league one, Deli Ali and David Martin both played in the same MK Dons team, could unearth some gems. Got to be clever with the negotiation though.

Exactly what we need.

Re: Championship players
Seems an excellent idea to try to get young players in from the Championship and from everywhere else. If they develop we can use them and sell them for a good profit. If they dont work out well enough to be established in our side, they can be loaned out and sold, preferably for a profit.
We have to take a long term view in order to develop into next level.

It wasn't a threat, it was a fact.

It's a reaction of someone calling another out on posting shit he would never say to peoples faces, there was no emotion whatsoever.

You can continue to beat that drum son, if it makes you feel better.
